Fellowship of Fiends

History

The Fellowship of Fiends, a shadowy conclave that presides above the Court of the Damned, has its roots entwined with the very essence of Hell’s hierarchical ambitions. Formed in the aftermath of the Great Schism, when the archdevils first asserted their dominance over the infernal realms, the Fellowship was established to ensure the efficient exploitation of the labor and schemes of the devils below them.
For eons, the Fellowship has been the crucible where the most diabolical plans are forged, each lord seeking to expand their power and influence. This elite assembly of fiends not only executes the will of the evil gods but also harbors personal ambitions, some members covertly plotting to usurp the gods themselves. The history of the Fellowship is a tapestry of betrayal, power plays, and the ruthless pursuit of supremacy, all conducted under a veneer of civility and decorum.
Despite the constant undercurrents of treachery, the Fellowship has maintained a semblance of order, its members engaging in a delicate dance of intrigue and manipulation. The ability to navigate this perilous environment with finesse is what distinguishes the true power players of Hell from the mere participants.

Objectives

The primary objective of the Fellowship of Fiends is to oversee and sanction the machinations of the Court of the Damned, ensuring that the ambitions of the lower-ranked devils serve the greater agenda of Hell’s hierarchy. By picking the most promising schemes and plans, the Fellowship aims to consolidate power and expand the influence of the evil gods they ostensibly serve.
Beyond this, the Fellowship members are driven by their own aspirations for greater power. They seek to recruit promising devils from the Court of the Damned into their own retinues, thereby strengthening their personal factions. This politicking, while often covert, is a critical aspect of the Fellowship's operations, as each fiend jockeys for position and influence.
Moreover, the Fellowship is tasked with maintaining the delicate balance of power within Hell, ensuring that no single fiend or faction becomes too dominant. This requires a constant vigilance and a willingness to engage in ruthless tactics to curtail the ambitions of rivals, all while projecting an image of unity and purpose.

Uniform or Symbols

Members of the Fellowship of Fiends are adorned with symbols of their immense power and authority, their attire a blend of dark elegance and infernal menace. Typically, they wear robes of the deepest black, interwoven with threads of silver and crimson that shimmer with an unholy light. These garments are often embellished with infernal glyphs and sigils, marking their rank and allegiance.
Each fiend also bears a personal emblem, a unique mark of their power and lineage, often displayed on an amulet or ring. These emblems not only signify their status but also serve as potent magical foci, enhancing their abilities and granting them dominion over lesser devils.
In addition to their attire, members of the Fellowship wield artifacts of great power, such as staffs carved from the bones of ancient dragons or tomes bound in the flesh of fallen angels. These items are both symbols of their authority and tools of their trade, enabling them to wield dark magics and command the forces of Hell with unparalleled precision.

Locations

The Fellowship of Fiends convenes in the Infernal Conclave, a grand citadel located in the deepest, most fortified layers of Hell. This foreboding edifice, crafted from blackened stone and iron, is a testament to the unyielding power and ambition of its occupants. Surrounded by fiery chasms and guarded by legions of lesser devils, the Conclave is both a fortress and a labyrinth, designed to deter any would-be usurpers.
Within the Infernal Conclave, the Fellowship meets in the Hall of Shadows, a vast chamber where darkness reigns supreme. The hall is lit by the flickering flames of tormented souls, casting eerie, dancing shadows on the walls. At its center stands the Throne of Dominion, a massive, ornate seat carved from obsidian and adorned with infernal symbols, where the presiding fiend holds court.
The Hall of Shadows is equipped with numerous alcoves and antechambers, each serving as a private chamber for the Fellowship’s members to scheme and plot in secrecy. The air is thick with the scent of brimstone and the echoes of whispered conspiracies, making it a place where power is both displayed and contested in equal measure.
