accountant Eirik Lutzen , he was originally a geneticist that worked with the Alliance long ago - when it was called the society of simic synergy - he has a prosthetic leg that has an arcane blaster in it - eluding to why he wanted to be a part of this program.
He has a pet salamander that is half ice and half fire - he bred it himself and that is as far as his genetic work goes these days.
He will explain the early pursuits of the alliance - using genetic grafting from different races to build cures, aid the sick and bolster people's immunities.
There was a particular experiment on a crippled Tiefling that drew the line for him.
The founder had no interest in helping the boy, he wanted to find out what caused his resistance to fire and take it for his own.
Using texts of a local Healer and his own research... well the boy was able to walk but ... he won't go on past that.
He heard the founder was killed 50 years ago - he was under investigation by a party from the Reapers. The news reported a "set back in the plans of modern medicine at the death of the founder, they made a hero out of him - saying he had some rare blood disease and didn't make it - no one pays the fees of an adventuring party to check up on someone like him"
