Dragonborn
One of the rarer people of the World Forest, the Dragonborn tend to be reclusive and tribal, living in small groups of thier own kind. Legends say that many thousands of years ago, the Dragonborn were the offspring of true Dragons and other mortal species and that thier lineage therefore goes all the way back to the draconic gods who created dragonkind.
Due to this ancestry, they seem like dragons walking erect, though wings and tails are very rare. they tend to be tall and strong, averaging almost two metres in height and over one hundred and seventy kilos. They are covered in fine scales that range from a greenish bronze to a firey sheened brass. The strong, cold colours of their ancestors are an uncommon sight, as their pure lineages of the different draconic families have inbred over the millenia. Still, each individual dragonborn will tend to identify strongly with a particular type of dragon and will exhibit traits of that familiy, such as being able to expel a breath weapon similiar, though much less potent, to their primogenitors.
The dragonborn tend to follow a familial clan culture, with each of them expected to put the clan first and foremost in their actions. The young being named by the clan leaders and assigned to their role based on the needs of the whole. Where a dragonborn strives to better themsleves, it is most often because that helps them serve their clan best, they put that need before themselves.
Even in raising thier young, they are part of the clan first, with mating pairs producing a clutch of eggs and raising them collectively with the young other parents. Those who leave the saftey and familiarity of the clan tend to be those who never quite fit or who felt they had some greater obligation outside of their home.

Genetics and Reproduction
A pair of dragonborn, male and female, will reproduce and the female will lay a single egg. The egg will grown inside the female over the course of six months and then will be kept warm by either parent over the next four months.
When the egg hatches, the young dragonborn will be able to walk unassisted in a matter of days and will be able to eat independant of its parents within a month.
Typically, the dragonborn young will share the same draconic lineage as at least one of the parents (if they differ) but throwbacks to other lines of dragons can rarely occur. When first born, the dragonborn's scales will be a light broze in colour but will take on darker, more complex shades as they grow.
