Session 2: Goblins in the Woods Report
General Summary
With the cackling behind them, the party turned to face them, eventually, a group of Sprites faced them, demanding the retun of the Goblin.
The party, with Ofelia and Arenor able to speak with the Sprites, managed to negotiate to let them speak with the goblin, called Snobrot, for five minutes. The party instead tried to run off with the Goblin, so he could lead them to his boss, the shaman Drekkgrub
The Sprites were annoyed at this desception, and chased after, peppering the party with poisoned arrows until they had to turn and fight. The fight was complicated by the sprites ability to turn invisible, but Goose's Faerie Fire came in handy, outlining the invisible fey to allow them to be cut down.
With the tiny bodies looted, and Stump taking two of the corpses with a mind to cook them up, they put the goblin on a leash to lead them north. After a few hours of heading on the path, they took a break. Ofelia had first watch, where they saw a badger make itself at home, and then while the party was sleeping, took the Sprite's bodies from Stump's body to give them a burial. Arenor took over for the last part of the watch, there was a humming to the south, but it didn't approach any closer to the camp. In the morning, Stump was enraged by the missing Sprite bodies and took this out on the goblin, eventually talked down by the party. The party continuted on their way, the goblin leading and being inducted into the world of skipping by Flick. After a while, they came across a campfire with a few goblins around. Flick, Goose and Snobrot went to talk their way through, it seemed to be going well until the goblins heard the rest of the party hiding in the forest, they drew their weapons at the noise and Flick decided to punch the lead Goblin. This lead to a fight; Stump grabbed Snobrot and held him to the campfire, Goose used Shillelagh to batter the goblins killing two, Ofelia knocked out one of them, and Flick and Arenor took care of the other.
