Welcome to Arborterra

Arbourterra is a world shrouded in dark, dense magical forests. Most people see the sun filtered green by the layers of the thick canopy above. They dwell in small, often isolated, communities. Outside of these, the forest depths hide untold dangers but also the wealth, treasures and knowledge of the civilisation that came before the growth of the World Forest.
Only those brave enough to seek out such things go beyond the safe borders of the towns and villages, and few of those ever come back to enjoy the spoils.
The world is vast, and full of mystery. The civilisation that existed before the great seeding that spawned the World Forest were living mostly in peace as far as any of the records gleamed from the ruins can tell. No one knows what caused the calamity known as The Fall only that it caused that great empire to collapse into ruin. Many species of peoples survived and have made their homes, from the Wood Elves to the Changelings, to the Dragonborn or the Humans, all hang on in some part.
The forests are teeming with many dangers, from the wild beasts and monsters that roam and patrol, to evil, power hungry people searching for ancient knowledge with which to inflict misery and suffering or even the ancient arcane defences in the ruins of the ancestors.
