Daughter of a council member on the King's council, Naexi grew up in nobility. King Zelphar actually met Naexi as a baby, and watched her grow up, but she never had much interaction with him, outside of the few times she saw him in passing in the city or with her father. It wasn't until her 100th birthday that she finally got to actually meet King Zelphar for the first time, as he was an honored guest attendee. The two instantly connected. Zelphar told her about how he has known her since she was a baby, and she admitted that she had been watching him from afar her whole life and had always wanted to meet him. After this meeting, the two began to secretly meet, as Zelphar was being pushed to marry someone of royalty but had no interest in anyone other than Naexi. It wasn't until the two were caught in a passionate moment in a servants hall that it became clear as to why Zelphar had no interest in the other royals. After speaking with her father, Naexi and Zelphar were soon set to be wed and Naexi ascended to the throne as Queen.
