Scion Arcane Features
Mastering the unknown
The arcane abilities represent the strange and magical powers of the world, which may present in a scion as a sorcerer's bloodline, the learning of a witch's hexes, or even studying an arcane school from a master or wizard academy. Regardless of their origin, you have made these powers your own.

Arcane - Major Features
Name | Prerequisites | Description |

Arcane School | Gain all the benefits of a single arcane school as per the wizard ability. You use your scion level in place of the class level. | |
Arcanist Exploits (Major) | Gain the ability to use arcanist exploits as per the arcanist ability. You gain an arcanist exploit upon selecting this ability and again at every odd level, including the ability to take greater exploits past level 11. If you don't have the arcane reservoir ability, you gain 3 arcane reservoir points that replenish with daily preparations. You use your scion level in place of the class level. | |
Bardic Performance (Major) | Gain all the benefits of the bardic performance as per the bard, including all performances and versatile performances gained at 2nd level. You use your scion level in place of the class level. | |
Eidolon (Major) | Gain the service of an eidolon as per the summoner's eidolon ability. | |
Hexes (Major) | Gain the ability to hex as per the witch ability. You gain a hex upon selecting this ability and again at every even level, including the ability to take major hexes past level 10. When selecting a new hex, you may choose from either witch or shaman hexes (excluding spirit hexes, unless you have the Spirit or Wandering Spirit feature). You use your scion level in place of the class level. | |
Sorcerer Bloodline | Gain most of the benefits of a single sorcerer bloodline, including the bloodline skill, bloodline arcana, and all bloodline abilities except for the level 20 ability. Bloodline arcana gained by this feature functions with spells gained by scion's spellcasting or other scion feature selections. You use your scion level in place of the class level. |
Arcane - Minor Features

Apprentice | 5th level | Learn up to two cantrips and one first level spell from an arcane spell list. You may use those cantrips up to 3/day, and the first level spell 2/day. At 10th level, you learn a 2nd level spell and may use it 2/day. You use the casting modifier associated with that classes spell list (I.E., Cha or Int for Sorcerer / Wizard spell list, Cha for bard spell list, etc.) You use your scion level in place of the caster level. |
Arcane Bond | Gain the benefits of a wizard's arcane bonded item ability. For familiars, see below. | Arcanist Exploits (Minor) | Gain the ability to use some arcanist exploits as per the arcanist ability. You gain an arcanist exploit upon selecting this ability and again at every four levels after. You are able to select a greater exploit at level 19. If you don't have the arcane reservoir ability, you gain 2 arcane reservoir points that replenish with daily preparations. You use your scion level in place of the class level. |
Arcane Reservoir | Gain an arcane reservoir as per the arcanist ability, using you scion level in place of your arcanist level. If you have a spellcasting feature, you also gain the Consume Spell arcanist feature as per the arcanist ability. If you take the Arcanist Exploits (Major) or (Minor), add the arcanist points gained from those features to your total points Arcane Reservoir. | |
Bardic Knowledge | Gain the benefits of bardic knowledge, as per the bard ability. You may then gain 1 use of the bard's loremaster ability at 5th, 11th, and 17th level. You use your scion level in place of the class level. | |
Bardic Performance (Minor) | Gain some of the benefits of a bard's bardic performance. At first level, you may choose 1 bardic performance from among inspire courage, countersong, distraction, and fascinate. You may use this ability as a bard of your scion level. | |
Brew Potion | Gain the benefits of the alchemist's brew potion ability. A scion can brew potions of any spell they know (up to 3rd level), using his scion level as his caster level. The spell must be one that can be made into a potion. | |
Bloodline Expert | Sorcerer Bloodline, 5th level | Gain a bloodline feat upon selecting this ability, and again at 7th, 13th, and 19th level. You use your scion level in place of the class level. You may also add your bloodline spells to your spell list. |
Eidolon (Minor) | 5th level | Gain the service of an eidolon as per the summoner's eidolon ability using your scion level -4 to determine its abilities. |
Eschew Materials | Ability to cast spells | Gain the benefits of a sorcerer's eschew materials ability. |
Expanded Casting (Arcane) | Ability to cast arcane spells | Gain an additional spell slot of each spell level on your arcane spellcasting. |
Familiar | Gain the service of a familiar as per the witch ability. | |
Gnosis | Ability to cast arcane spells | Learn a new spell outside of your normal casting list(s) (including divine lists) for each spell level you possess and learn a new spell upon gaining the ability to cast a new spell level. |
Hexes (Minor) | Gain the ability to use some hexes as per the witch ability. You gain the ability to use 1 hex upon selection and you learn another hex every four levels after. You are able to select a major hex at level 20. When selecting a new hex, you may choose from either witch or shaman hexes (excluding spirit hexes, unless you have the Spirit or Wandering Spirit feature). You use your scion level in place of the class level. | |
Arcane Discovery | 5th level | Gain a bonus feat as per the Wizard ability, gaining at feat at 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th level. Like the wizard ability, you may select spell feats, metamagic feats, or may instead select an arcane discovery feat. You use your scion level in place of the class level. |
Scribe Scroll | Gain the scribe scroll ability as per the wizard ability. | |
Wandering Hexes | Gain the ability to use some hexes as per the shaman ability, though you may select any hex from the witch or shaman’s list, excluding major hexes, grand hexes, or spirit hexes unless you posses those features. You gain the ability to use 1 hex upon selection and you learn another hex at level 14. You use your scion level in place of the class level. |
