Eru Illuvatar sang, a great song filling the void, and in his song the world to come was shaped. His first children were the Ainur (the Valar and Maiar), and they learned his song and shaped the Flame of creation according to his will…. All but one. Melkor, renamed Morgoth, manipulated the Flame according to his own design. He set himself apart and became the enemy. In the ensuing war, the First War, the one continent of Arda was broken and split into three continents: Aman to the West, Endor in the middle, Morenore in the East.
