Blackshale Island
During the Dance of Dragons, two powerful ancient dragons one red, the other gold. They battled for days, turning the entire island to glass. After thousands of years, the island has begun to regrow over the glassed rocky formations. The sands are a pitch black, from the obsidian that encompasses the entire island. There are many alcoves and hideaways that pirates have used to avoid authorities, only to impale their ships on dramatic rock formations that jut out of the water during low tide.
