Cai-ban, the Everlasting

Creator of the The Shadowkey, and champion of Myrkul, The Lord of Bones. Instrumental in the disaster of the The Fallen Empire of Khermi . Cai-ban was a high priest that served the lord of bones during the last decades of the Empire of Khermi. Cai-ban led expeditions into the Shadowfell from his powerful arcane temple, the Pyramid of Nekharma and it was here he met Khur, the Living who showed Cai-ban the secrets to everlasting life. The Khermi priest was arrogant, and thought he could outpace the former elf, and brought the secrets back with him to his palace at Narez, now known as the Scourge of Narez. It was here that he became the first lich of Ardicil, leaving a permanent scar on his palace, destroying it. He then gathered his cult and brought them to the now The Sundered City , where the rest of the tale is lost among the ruins.
