The Hidden Temple

Deep within the jungles of the Ten-Thousand Deaths lies this long forgotten temple. Long forgotten by time and avoided by the locals, it seems to be an ancient temple built by a powerful civilization long since gone. None have studied it or explored inside. Well, none got to do so and lived to tell the tale anyway. You see traveler, the locals avoid this place because they believe it to be a sacred place of the goddess of death herself, Ameriel. Shamans of their past have told stories that have been past down from one generation to the next regarding Hunters who have stumbled upon it by accident and on the verge of death being healed of their wounds, having food and water appear before them and being protected from the dangers of the jungles. This is what scares them you see, whatever being can terrify even the beasts and plants of the Ten-Thousand Deaths enough to keep them at bay and far away from such an easy meal.....this is something to be feared indeed. The only thing that can put such fear in any being.....is death herself. At least this is what the locals believe to be true. To be certain, many have tried to find this place but no Hunter, Guide or local would dare even consider bringing an outsider to such a sacred place, assuming they even know of it's exact location! you see only the Elders and select few Hunters and Shamans know of this place. 
Still, there is the possibility that a daring group of adventurers accidently find themselves here....
