Duthovan
Phonetics
Duthovan is noteworthy for its lack of nasal consonants, a sound change resulted in the denasalization of all nasal consonants into voiced plosives (eg. /n/ > /d/). Furthermore all Elder Tsedric alveolar and retroflex consonants are fronted, alveolar consonants become dental and retroflex consonants become post-alveolar.
Unlike other related languages, Duthovan retained the three vowels of Elder Tsedric (/i/, /u/, /a/) and did not develop any new phonemic vowels.
