Imperial Might
From the
Havlic Peninsula, the
Havlic Empire reigns over
Arkodia. Their technology surpases all other nations, their military prowess cannot be overstated in all fields. Through their extensive trade and information network, there is not much they cannot get a hold of. The empire's one goal is the complete and utter domination over Arkodia. Under an ideology of cultural supremacy, they believe it to be their duty as ordained by the gods to spread this culture by any means necessary, to teach the other lowly nations of the right path.
Threats Within and Without
The Empire directly controls and subjugates vast swaths of southern and western Arkodia, but within these annexed territories underground revolutionary organizations have formed with hopes of freeing their lands from occupation. The
Tsedrins in annexed lands are working covertly with those of free
Tedriya to spark civil war.
Sondamian rebels hinder the Empire's northern advance and weaken their hold of Sondamia. To the
Havlians it is completely unfathomable that one would want to live under anything but the greatness of the Empire; such is the effect of the intense indoctrination the Empire's citizens have undergone over the years.
The Empire is surrounded by threats. The
Kolmorish raid imperial villages in the north, eastern fleets attack put a strain on the imperial navy, western pirates attack merchant ships heading to
Arcanittas. The Havlians see these acts a justification for their aggression; despite the fact that it is these attacks are in retaliation to Havlic aggression.
The Fall
At one point the Empire might truly have been the supreme light they so desperately claim to be, and it is true that their military might is indeed unrivaled, however the Empire's power is waning and certain citizens are taking notice. Internal political strife causes people to lose faith in the Emperor. Perpetual war engulfs the Empire's borderlands as they ceaselessly attempt to expand their influence and spread their "cultural supremacy". As the Empire expands the military is spread ever more thin.
The World of Areonis
The world is vast, the Empire is but a small part. From the bamboo forests of
Praimaai to the tundras of Fennia, from the evergreen
Calley peninsula to the
Jazer Mountains on the continent
Himixia. Himixia generally stays out of imperial business but certain nations have trade relations with the Empire.
Elements
The world is made up of
Elements and individuals with enough practice and meditation are able to mentally tap into these elements and manipulate them to their will. The manipulation of the Elements can take many forms, some use the Elements to fight, some use them to create, some use them to enchant weapons and tools, for some the Elements are purely to be studied and venerated.
