Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Melody is quite fit being trained in assassinating and sneaking; so she is quite adept at moving around. She has a small to medium build; slender.
Body Features
Lots of scars from her battles not only in Cao, but in bounty hunting. She has been sliced and stabbed countless times, but most of the scars are hidden although a few remain on her arms which can be in view at times.
Facial Features
Average. Rounded eyes, smooth skin, non-protruding cheek bones.
Identifying Characteristics
She tends to cover up any identifying features or tell-tell signs of her who she is with clothing and masks. Perhaps the only thing would be her eyes since eyes are a pretty unique feature.
Special abilities
Changeling. Able to shapeshift and transform her body to any race and/or person she has ever seen or known.
Apparel & Accessories
Melody wears medium armor and a robe with a half mask that covers the bottom portion of her face.

Personal history
Melody, or Mel O’Die as her native spelling, grew up in the The Broken Kingdom of Cao with her parents and her brother, Mexel. From a young age Melody was given a good life despite the hellish and warring lands she grew up in. Melody came from the O’Die clan which was one of the clans of the Broken Kingdom and was trained at an early age to hunt and even moreso use her gifts of a changeling to blend into her environment. Even playing with other children at hide and seek or even theater plays her disguises and ability to change proved useful.
Melody never cared for the war or the riots that was her very own plague, but had to learn to adapt and to overcome these issues. Coming from the O’Die clan which prided themselves on hunting, assassinating, and killing Melody took up the bow and became an expert huntress in no time and quite a good infiltrator just like her clan. Melody always dreamed of a more peaceful place than the one she lived in. A place where she didn’t have to watch her back constantly or even worry about dying while she slept or roamed the city streets. Then it happened.
The catalyst for her leaving her homeland eventually came the day when her brother, Mexel, was assassinated by a rival clan. Melody struck with grief over her best friend in life dying was too much. She decided to leave her homeland which brought nothing, but grief, but stowing away on a ship to wherever…
That ship, however, belonged to the then Pirate, Renfri du Foux and thus became her gateway to the world of Flamelle and her contract work with Renfri. One day she hopes to make a better life than the one in Cao and make a name for herself not as the dark past that looms over her family’s name and workings, but as a mercenary for hire. She hopes to also earn enough coin to pull her parents out of Cao once and for all and bring them into a more peaceful life before they die – the one her brother could never have.
Education
She has limited education. She can read and write, but schooling in Cao isn’t known for graduates and/or scholars.
Employment
Trained as an assassin from Cao, but moved on to being a bounty hunter since it's not so evil in nature where she often takes bounties from Renfri.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Her leaving Cao and her parents behind for a new life elsewhere was pretty drastic.
Failures & Embarrassments
Mel blames herself for not preventing her brother’s assassination. She refused to go out that day on a hunting errand.

Suffers from multiple personality disorder since the death of her brother Mexel.

Since taking up the mantle of bounty hunter, Melody strives to complete her contracts at all costs. Her mantra is “the mission is above all else'' and she will see to it that it's done. Even if it costs her life.

Motivation
She aims to be on the side of good, unlike how her upbringing was. She doesn’t want to be an assassin, but a bounty hunter. Her motivation is to help others while earning enough gold to move her parents out of Cao.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
She’s particularly good at stealth and hiding as well as anything dexterous. Quite nimble and light on her feet. Consequently, she lacks strength, but she tries not to get herself in dire situations where her nimbleness can’t aid her.

Her multiple personality disorder is her flaw. Other than that she appears rather normal, but when people hear a low onset voice and different speaking and mannerisms from Melody it draws quite the looks. Lest it be done in mid-combat the ever so deadly melody can be disoriented or confused as she convenes with her brother…

Melody can be quite brash despite at times appearing ladylike for balls, but mostly she is rough around the edges due to her hostile environment in Cao.

Typically crosses her arms. Off putting stance/nature. Will put her feet up on furniture. Will look at the ground to avert her gaze from others so nobody can recognize her.
Hobbies & Pets
No pets, but when she was younger and more carefree, Melody liked to play hide and seek with her changeling abilities and even partake in plays.

Melody speaks rather sharply and uncouth mostly, but can speak very lady-like when needed. Common phrases include “the mission is above all else”. Her pitch is quite low or middle pitch for a female.
