Nichelas Ward

To the naive, the proclivities of Archon Nichelas and Archon Yuzirite are very similar. To the experienced, the two are on very different tiers of magical manipulation. While Archon Yuzirite fills his Ward with seemingly peaceful animals - in reality containing the souls of his Bonds - Archon Nichelas' experiments are much more sinister in appearance while simultaneously being far less objectionable from a moral standpoint. Archon Nichelas' specialty is in biological manipulation, and in the pens and cages of his ward are contained the fruits of his experiments.
Of all the monstrosities found in Nichelas Ward, it is difficult name those most disturbing. Chimeras, owlbears, mimics, oozes, and any imaginable variety of other dungeon denizens can be found throughout the facilities here. The entire Ward is a personal playground for Archon Nichelas. He admires his works with a web of arcane eyes in pens and facilities dotted around, occasionally even hiring adventurers to 'slay beasts' in contests of his design or to test the effectiveness of his latest design. There is of course no proof that any monsters ever escape into the surrounding area or cause serious problems in his attempt to contain them, but if there were I'm sure there might be lucrative contracts available to those adventurers with the the discretion (and indiscretion) to take on such a shadowy job.
Nichelas Ward has one of the smallest populations, especially for a Ward of its size, and most of the servants directly under Archon Nichelas are monstrosities of his design. He mostly ignores his Bonds, leaving them to fend for themselves and perform the tasks of their own self-sufficiency.
