Dechlan Ward

The Ward of Archon rests along the shore on the axial side of the channel between the Nya’zin Ocean and Lake Vandria. Duskward, it is separated from the J’tett Desert by a steep mountain range. Sunways, the Ward spans across foothills until the weather becomes too hot for the average person to stand living there, signifying the start of the desert and the realm of the Tabaxi traders of The City of Drapes. Archon Dechlan's focus is on magical construction and fabrication and, as such, his Ward is filled with citadels, castles, and other fortifications. These are one of the major reasons why his very advantageous holdings were not taken in any of the conflicts which regularly threatened the Archons in the years before a peace was drafted. Thanks to his specialty, Dechlan enjoys the contracts for many castles, ships, bridges and other grand architectural pursuits. Of course none of these are ever worth his time unless they are for another Archon, and his services warrant exorbitant fees.
Archon Dechlan is one of the less studious Archons, preferring instead to enjoy leisure and the pursuit of his art. He doesn't often stray into the esoteric unless working on particularly arcane creations, but he does hold his wealth and the lifestyle and importance it buys him in very high esteem. His pursuits often bring him into contact with matters related to Divicia, and Filyn'Drast when he wants to be involved with Sedden. His many castles are also left abandoned regularly as the Bonds attempt and often fail to hold them against infestations of dungeon-inhabiting creatures and the ravages of time.
Structure
There are numerous local mayor-like figures whom Archon Dechlan furnishes with homes of a slightly higher quality and relies upon to keep matters running smoothly among the Bondship. These are often master craftsmen who oversee the primary industry of the Bondship in question.

History
As one of the highest value Wards, Dechlan Ward has experienced decades of border wars. During that time the majority of his Bonds lived in or near castles to protect them and allow them to continue the productive work which thrust Archon Dechlan so far forward into his position of strength.
