The Amber Ocean
The desert wasteland of southern Sedden is a vast and open sea of rolling dust and debris that hides beneath ancient civilization from times past. Ancient dragon ruins dot the area, as this was once the largest Seddenese dragon kingdom, as far as we know today. New discoveries are being found constantly by Friyan explorers and more, but rarely do the findings leave the sands. The surface of this dangerous desert is populated by dangerous tribes of bloodthirsty nomads. Human tribes who'd learned to survive only through the hunting of one another, or the beasts that dwell beneath the surface. Massive worms that burrow through any structure attempted, or land sharks that cut through the sand effortlessly to chase down their prey. Much awaits inside this desert to be found, but it's surviving the deserts constant assault that poses the most challenge.
The adventurers state of Friya sits on the border between the Amber Ocean and the wastes of Omen'an. With the explorers of Friya making constant quest into the sands, recent years have seen more visitors, and only made the natives more tempermental. The sands of the Amber Ocean are constantly moving. In such a wild way unmatched by any other similar local, the Amber sands are truly like an ocean, with no landmark lasting long. Only those incredibly talented at navigating manage to successfully traverse this terrifying wasteland.
Fauna & Flora
Little plant life can be found among the Amber, with the exception of the occasional lush oasis. Monsters of all kinda roam the sand, primarily hunting camels and lizards, or scavenging the few plants the dare to exist like cacti and some tougher shrubs. Giant worms, wyverns, bulettes, and many other sand dwellers call this place their home.
History
In years past, the great blue dragon empire of Krona stood tall, basking in the heat of the suns. Ruling over the dragons of the land, these wyrms stood tall with riches and magic to spare. When the heavens fell and civilization was reset, few survived. The only real underground infrastructure of any of Krona's cities that could survive such an event was Erisna, known in draconic texts as 'the hundred layer city'. With the riches and secrets discovered in the sands of the Amber, treasure hunters salivate at the thought of what might be beneath Bladewright.
