Winterlan

The frozen land of the free, Winterlan. South of the Plains of Ís is the home of thousands of humans who once called this place home, proudly, and without hesitation. In recent years, the giants of Ís have begun an outright assault, claiming that the lands of Winterlan and all underneath it belong to the giants. Regardless of their reasons, the people of Winterlan could never come to a peace, and with hesitant leadership and poor morale, the country has begun to fall.
Similar to Levin, Winterlan was a bastion. A place free of the Archons, where any who could rough the frost could live a life of peace. This has all fallen to the wayside, though. Life in Winterlan within the last few decades has been a life on the run. With the border in constant contention, any who live in the sourceward half of Winterlan live in constant fear. Ready at any moment to flee, with many making their way to Levin in hopes of help. The Winterlan border once reached all the way up to the peak of the hellcreepers domain, but now it has been pushed so far wyrmward that it's less than half of the land it once was.

While others flee, many still hold fast. Brave and proud warriors stand their ground in constant battle with the giants. Given their size, they rarely make ground, with the giants having such an incredible advantage, though with some particular dirty tricks and talented warriors, Winterlan still stands. If it was not for the resistance, it may not even be on maps today.

Culture

Before the times of battle, Winterlan was a land of peace. The people of Winterlan had pride in their arts, with massive ice sculptures peppering the capital cities. Visages of great heroes, founding settlers, and even some of the gods. Art remains a large part of the Winterfolk lives to this day, with their armor and weaponry carrying with it an elegant and frosted artistry to it.
