Opossic
Opossic is close to incomparable to any other language. Both in grammar, sounds, and vocabulary it is extremely challenging to comprehend for non-native speakers.
The language relies heavily on trills and aspirated interrupts.
The vocabulary consists nearly entirely of nouns, as the language uses comparisons to other concepts instead of adjectives and verbs.
For example, instead of "swimming" a speaker would say "as a river", implying the movement is "like that of a river".
Writing System
To ensure their writing can be understood by the generations to come, Opossic uses a logographic writing system. The system was developed to indicate ownership of property and land. It was written by the Beastfolk, who used their claws to carve characters into trees or rocks. Due to the nature of the surfaces, the characters were written using straight lines. Over time, as ink and paper were introduced, the language gradually gained characters with more curves. This resulted in an interesting situation where more complex concepts are written with more curves.
