Sect of Thrae

Divine Origins

The Sect of Thrae is one of the original faiths that established itself as the first Peoples took shape. The Elves were the original followers of Thrae, and many still are to this day. Due to the traveling nature of the faithful, the rituals and teachings associated with the sect developed into various branches at various times. Though the overall concepts remained the same, there are almost as many different methods of worships as there are followers.

Worship

Most worship to Thrae is done through prayer or small offerings. Offerings are generally crushed and ground so they fly when scattered in the wind. Dried leaves are also commonly used as offerings, as they don't have to be crushed.

Prayers to Thrae

Many known prayers are used by the sect of Thrae and the Faith of the Founders. Some are used in daily worship, others only for special ceremonies. A dedicated worshipper would know them by heart.

Your voice is the wind

Mighty Thrae, your voice is the wind.
It guides us safely along our travels.
I thank you for the gift you shared, so all of us may live.

Mighty Thrae, your voice is the wind.
Let my voice carry with yours as well, as I thank you for your guidance.

Scatter the ashes

Mighty Thrae, your voice brings peace.
It guides us safely along our travels.
I thank you for the gift you shared, so all of us may live.

Mighty Thrae, your voice brings rest.
A journey has reached its end.
The body prepared, they yearn once more, to make a final journey.

Mighty Thrae, your voice is the wind.
Carry their voice with yours and scatter the ashes, as we thank you for your guidance.

Political Influence & Intrigue

Very few political, or generally influential, figures are followers of Thrae. This in turn has led to a distinct lack of dedicated temples and shrines in larger settlements. Though notably, settlements and nations led by Elves do generally feature more places of worship and often special rights to allow for spiritual journeys.
