"You love him, and want to be with him. That shows me that there's still love in the world, and I will fight to keep that love in the world for as long as I can. I am here for you, and I will fight by you for as long as your standing, and as long as you need someone by your side."

Not Enough
Cass could feel something wasn't right. Troy always smiled when he saw her, but this time was... different. There was something behind that smile... regret... fear... sadness? She braced herself for what was to come, fearful for his words.
"I found something amazing Cass!" Troy states, forcing the sounds of excitement. "I think it's just what we need to explore the world together." He pushes his hair out of his eyes and holds his hands together, pressing his left thumb between his right thumb and forefinger. He looks down at his feet, dreading his next words, "We just have to join the Cult of Gigareth. They can give us everything that we need, power, influence. With them, we'll be unstoppable!"
"I thought you said that as long as we were together we would be unstoppable, why do we need them?" Cass said quietly. What is this? We never needed anyone before, and definitely not some cult that praises a Devil and kills people for their terrifying rituals. "We can't join them, I don't care what they're offering, we're together, that's all we need."
She reaches out and holds his hands in hers, "Just you and me, remember?" she pulls his hands to her chest, letting him feel her heartbeat.
Troy looks at Cass, anger building up inside him, "How naive do you need to be Cass? Just you and me? Do you really think that will be enough to face all the dangers in the world?! The plague lands?!" His voice rising, "We are not prepared; hundreds more powerful than us have died just trying to get there! Friends have died, we need to be more prepared! The Cult can give us magic, power beyond our belief! So what if we have to do some questionable things, we'll be free!"
"Free?!" Cass yells, still holding on to his hands, trying to ground herself in this feeling, holding on to what she knows. "How can we be free in a Cult? What have they done to you? This isn't you! Why am I not enough for you?" Tears start to form in her eyes. "It's not naive to believe in us, just...us." Her grip tightens on his hands.
Troy tears his hands away, "Just us? What if we're swarmed, what if we miss something and get ambushed? Don't you want the power and might to fight your way out of that?"
"I thought we did, you and me, we're our own force."
"Psshh... don't be stupid. We can fight, but we would die! The elements, surprise... something would get to us. They will help us."
"If we died, we would die together, fighting side by side! And not fighting for some crazy cult!" Desperation kicks in, Cass gets closer to Troy, "Let's just get out of here, grab our things and leave now. Get away from all this craziness. I think we've been couped up for too long." She smiles slightly, trying to ease the tension rising between them.
"No." He stares at her, his face dead pan, emotion stripped from his voice. "If you don't want to join me, then I can't do this with you. We can't just run away from problems. I'll just have to face this by myself, and rebuild a family with the cult." He turns away from Cass, leaving her behind.
