Infernals

Infernals are a race of diabolical fiends that reside in the sulfuric realm of Ashfell. They were among some of the original beings the ancients protected creation against before The Cataclysm. They are also credited with the discovery and mastery of blood magic.
The Infernals were most likely one of the main races the ancients wished to contain when constructing the barrier of providence after the Cataclysm. Scholars debate on how the race came into being; a predominant theory is that the strife and lust for power of the first mortals gave life to the fiends. While they exist in a variety of forms, Infernals are generally characterized by reddish skin, black wings and imposing horns.
Unlike the chaotic Nightmaren, Infernals surprisingly have a very ordered, functioning society. A military dictatorship, ranks of Infernals are ruled by The Primarchs, the strongest generals of Ashfell, and spend just as much time fighting among themselves for power than they do trying to invade the Mortal Realm. While many Infernals do fight for and control and aspire to seize power, they also show surprising loyalty to their superiors; there have even been accounts of Infernals showing honor in combat. The primarchs and their seven individual legions compete for territory constantly within Ashfell, thus giving rise to the mortal slang term "seven hells", as Ashfell itself is divided into seven pieces, each controlled by a different Primarch.
Possibly the most interesting aspect of the Infernals is that they are incredibly true to their word; while many of them attempt to deceive and create bargains with mortals, they always uphold their end of the deal.
