Obsidian Order

It takes a ruthlessly discerning eye to select those worthy enough to become part of the Obsidian Order, but they can sort the wolves from the sheep kilometers away. After all, the mind is the first and most important battlefield. The Obsidian Order is the primary intelligence agency of The Iron Dominion. One of the most ruthless and efficient organizations on Western Arkos, the Obsidian Order eclipses even The Idyll Keepers in intelligence gathering and covert operations at times. Almost all Dominion citizens live with a healthy fear of the Obsidian Order, whose constant surveillance has sometimes led to the sudden eliminations of certain "traitors". It is said that the Order is so efficient that a Dominion citizen cannot sit down to a meal without each dish being duly noted and recorded by the Order, down to its preparation and the exact measurement of each ingredient. Of course, this is likely just superstition. Agents of the Order answer directly to the Dominion Hierarch, and are despite their ruthless reputation, they are mainly focused on matters of internal security. Additionally, agents of the Order are apparently not able to carry or use high grade military equipment. There are a few quiet rumors that the obsidian order and their tactics got their start at the end of the second age, before the dominion, on the continent of Crescentia. Nobody is quite sure why these rumors started circulating, however.
