Shadowcite

Shadowcite is the name given to the pitch-like crystals that house dark Primordial Energy. Similar to Illuminite in its arcane presence, shadowcite supposedly causes the emotions of those near it to strengthen and flare up, rather than generate a state of apathy as Illuminite does. While much of mortal kind views anything related to darkness and shadows to be inherently evil, Shadowcite does not have any intrinsic connections to destructive forces or necromantic powers.
Much like other primordial casings, Shadowcite is an extremely rare substance, with the only organization said to have significant quantities being the ShadowWardens.
