Paytiore
Paytoire is a large Kingdom in the north-east region of Ardarock, with The Devils Beach close to the east and the Brundedoore woods on the south and west. To the north of Paytoire over the Brundoore Range is the Kingdom of Pyeruille, Paytoires closest allies. Paytoire is home to the massive 'Oakcrest Farms" which provides most of the food for the peoples of Paytoire and Pyeruille while also exporting produce. During the winter years the fruit and vegetables grown in the Oakcrest Farms Greenhouses is the only some of the only fresh produce available in all of Armeylose. The Oakcrest Farms is run by the Hill Dwarf family “The Oakcrests” who were born in the second age. The Oakcrest family helped build Paytoire along the High Elf Family the Fleygleams and the High Elf family the Melberrys. The Melberry family became the royal family of the new Kingdom Paytiore and the Fleygleams stayed as the Royals of Pyeruille. In the third age Aligris Melberry is the King of Paytiore and Pyeruille his wife Sefilyn Fleygleam rules by his side. They have been unable to succesfully birfth an heir in over a thousand years and when they had their first daughter in the year four six seventy five. Still an infant the babe was stolen from her cribe in the royal keep in the year forty six seventy seven. The first born royal princess is still missing and Queen Sefilyn has been haunted by despair since her disapperance. While King Aligris still sends search parties after his daughter.
The Population of the City
The City of Paytoire has a population of around two hundred thirty thousand people, close to one hundred thousand of these people are hill dwarf farm workers who work for the Oakcrest Family. The kingdom had a small middle class of around ten thousand people who were mostly Elves, Animalfolk, and some Humans. The middle class mostly worked as well paid Guards, Shop Owners or Tavern Keepers, as well as many of them being blacksmiths or other high end trade folk such as skilled potion makers or jewlers. There are holy slums in the city believed to be home to one hundred thousand people, mostly humans, hill Dwarves and animalfolk.
The City Guard
The Guards of Paytoire are split into four factions all run by different groups of important people. Each faction is distinguished by a coloured star painted on the guards breastplate. The guards often wear clothes and cloaks of the same colour as their stars. There is: the Gold Stars who are close to eight thousand strong they guarded the entire city of Paytiore, the Green Stars are two thousand strong and they are the Oakcrest Family guard and also watch the Oakcrest Farms and the Green Keep. The Red Stars who are near three hundred strong and are run by the Aristocrats of Paytiore and mainly focus on keeping their businesses safe and there is the Blue star guard are around eight hundred strong they are the Royal Familes Personal guard and are lead by a group of Knights who act as the Kings guard.
Outer Towns
There is three small towns outside the walled city of Paytiore, these three towns are called, Vellald, Moivell, and GrennaThe Oakcrest Farms
The south part of the city of Paytiore is home to the Oakcrest Greenhouses a magical set of greenhouses that produce an unnatural amount of fruit and vegetable yield. Such as that fruit is often picked multiple times a day from the same plant as it blossoms and fruits again within only a few hours. This creates a surplus of food that allows the Oakcrest Green houses to feed hundreds of thousands of people consistently.
One Kingdom
After Ardarien died fighting Pheodian, his first son Felrien Fleygleam became the King of Pyeruille, and he married his first child and daughter Sefilyn Fleygleam to Agis Melberries grandson Aligris Melberry. Now in the late third age Aligris and Sefilyn rule the Kingdom of Paytiore and Pyeruille as one Kingdom. The royal family lives within the city of Paytiore in the royal keep that is within the inner city of Paytiore. However they often spend many months in the city of Pyeruilles royal keep.
The Paytiore River
This river runs from from The Brunedoore Sea to the Sea of Lost Souls. There is a single large bridge that connects the city Paytoire to the north east parts of The Brunedoore Woods. The Bridge connects underground to the Kingdom pumping water throughout the Kingdom.
The Markets
Paytoire has a large market square in the middle of the kingdom that would hold festivals throughout the year. The market square is also often home to many different travelling merchants, caravans, theatre or dance troops throw out the year, along with different travelling circuses. All go hoping to leave with some of the vast wealth that is within paytoire.
