Atridhir Brightforger

Overview.

Prince Atridhir was known as a good-hearted noble, loved by the whole nation. He and his wife Finellen of Krynn toured the kingdom frequently showing love to the small folk which they ruled. Until one day, he cracked and went on a rampage against his own father, King Ofniir of Clan Brightforger. Rumor has it that he wanted the throne so badly and was tired of waiting for his sickly father to succumb to his disease.

Life and Training

Prince Atridhir was groomed from a young age to take the throne of Ekkag'varum. From the Dvuun Mountains to the White Barrens, there was rarely a more beloved prince than Prince Atridhir. His network of allies ran wide. He was always known to be at odds with those whom he called the 'Poised Serpents' around his father, King Ofniir. The 'Poised Serpents' were those who had his fathers ear when it came to matters of opinion, state, or governance. Many were power hungry dwarves lusting for more power. His wife was always a trusted confidant of his, advising Atridhir with the wisdom of the Brevilus and ensuring that he was safe.

Not wanting to reside in a palace his whole life, Atridhir took himself and his wife to touring the nation of dwarves. He constantly quelled battles between the Fighting Barons, as one of the best fighters in the nation, when Atridhir entered the town, many Fighting Barons knew that a Clan Duel was about to be had. As with all dwarven law, they follow the mighty, for the God Chief Vodn will show that their heart is made of pure metal.
After one journey across the Dwarven kingdom, it is reported he returned to find his father ill, and wanting to pass the crown to his brother, Yungiir of Clan Brightforger, his Royal Council had reported such with the seal of the king. Still fueled with the rage from battles hard fought to keep the Fighting Barons in line, Atridhir murdered the noble King Ofniir and fled. King Yungiir had reported that Yungiir had found and taken vengeance upon the usurper prince and his wife, and that the dwarven people were no longer at risk of anarchy.

Modern Day

The dwarven people are a superstitious folk, however. An ancient prophecy by Mulamell Brightforger would foretell the coming of the Toller Trager who will carry the dwarves out of the hands of the Great Liar and Fill the Brass Basin. With this, many have come to believe that Prince Atridhir is the Toller Trager, or potentially scheming to put his father's brother on the throne as the Toller Trager. In any case, Prince Atridhir's body has yet to be seen among the people of Ekkag'varum, no matter how much King Yungiir attempts to convince them that Atridhir is no more.
