Since before the Great War, the name Shinai already carried weight and through some clever alliances made by Lord Shinai during the war, their influence was secure.
Because their blood wasn't noble and the title of Lord was one of merit, not birth, the rebellion did not affect them. If anything it made their position even more powerful.
Having control of most of the businesses already, the Shinai family was approached to help lead the fledgling Government in the area of commerce.
The family agreed, but to many people's surprise it wasn't the current head of the family that joined the council, but her daughter Yuka.
She quickly proved to be up to the task despite her age or apparent lack of experience. She currently oversees the Ministry of Commerce and it is due to her efforts the nation is recovering at so quickly after the rebellion.
