Galvyn II ascended to the throne at age five, following in the footsteps of his father Taleisin, who ascended in the year of his birth. For this reason, Galvyn II is often called The Second Boy King. The tradition of taking the regnal name Galvyn began with Galvyn II, in the hopes of revitalizing a monarchy in decline.
The Reformer
The Seven Year Plague spiraled out of control in the Red Realm. While it initially spread fastest among the peasantry, once it was contracted within the royal household it spread like wildfire through the nobility. With clerics overwhelmed, the majority of the extended royal family was killed by the disease. The combination of its impact on the nobility and the disease's painful skin lesions led some irreverent commentators in Forks refer to the plague as the "Royal's Boils". Some anti-monarchists viewed it as cosmic justice against a tyrannical monarchy.
After the death of Galvyn XII, there was no provable heir for the crown, and the nobility fell into a bloody war for the crown.
Established the Council of Peers and the position of Archduke Regent.
