Arvandor (Arrv-aann-door)
Arvandor is the domain of the mother goddess, Anima. It is also the ancestral home of high elves, who take their name from their origins.
Geography
Arvandor was a vast, infinite expanse of pristine wilderness covered in lush forests, massive mountains, perfectly clear streams, placid lakes, and an ocean called the Sparkling Sea.
History
Arvandor was Anima's first dominion created solely by herself. Though it had the appearance of a physical world, it possessed none of Corpus' essence, and was formed entirely of magic.
It's first denizens, the star elves, lived in joyous peace in their paradise, watching as the material plane came into being. After witnessing mortal civilizations begin to flourish, emissaries of Arvandor traveled to the material plane, and took physical form for the first time, becoming the first elves to grace the land that would be Arxios.
Though the majority of the star elves returned home to Arvandor, a small group remained, having fallen in love with mortal life. They became known as high elves, for though they lost their immortality, they retained a connection to their mother goddess that granted them innate power over magic, an entirely new concept to mortals at the time.
