The Barren Expanse is a vast sea that stretches beyond the horizon south of Arxios. It earns its name from its extremely high salinity, which prevents regular aquatic life from thriving, and obscuring the surface from view. However, any who believe the sea truly barren beware; The Expanse's unique environment allows for the growth of monstrous creatures that prey on any unfortunate victim that comes too close.
