Oni

As intelligent as any elf and stronger than a raging bear, these engines of pure destruction and ferocity were the previous rulers of the Kondai region, until a sect of more peaceful Oni and an army of Elves drove them from the land and back to Yōkai no Kuni, where they still sit in their dark castle of terror, Maozoku, licking their wounds, awaiting their king's orders to retake the land in his name.
