The Flood

Era beginning/end

129
5/10 9:00

The flood is when most of the rest of the sapient species that weren't already here arrived. Humans were a large concentration of what arrived but with them came gnolls, ogres, bugbears, etc. The flood would occur faster than any of the other arrivals. The dwarves and elves had trickled through continuously. The flood was instead an abrupt invasion that would darken the sky with a plethora of airships and other such flying vehicles as well as some that had no vehicle at all.

The dwarves and elves had trickled through continuously. The flood was instead an abrupt invasion that would darken the sky with a plethora of airships and other such flying vehicles as well as some that had no vehicle at all.

The ensuing chaos would cause a variety of ships to crash together or fight in the sky. This would cause the dragons to convice the orcs to follow them underground while the fallout of the event would reduce numbers of elves rapidly. The Dwarves having built great cities were loathe to leave them but would retreat underground as well. C.O.S.M. would ultimately be called to put order to the chaos and it would take a while, due to being distracted from the goal of closing the rift to ensure things returned to normal.

Before finally getting the flood under control a majority of the space faring capable ships would be lost to the chaos. Airship technology would be maintained, however the technology used to break this world's atmosphere would disappear, ensuring that the races who came here would have to settle in and accept Ashanor as their home.

The only sapient race missing at this time were the Illithids that would come during the Illithid invasion.
