Calliden Norva (Cal-lee-den Nor-va)
Calliden is a faintly bioluminescent Kobold with water djin ancestors. He runs the Navy of Kinar, and takes his job very seriously. He endured a lot of prejudice and teasing to get to this position, but some how managed to maintain his kindhearted jolly nature through it all. He is known for his crack down on smugglers using the sea to make an undected point of egres.
He values life, and has not gotten into a single naval battle during his tenure, unlike many of his predecessors. However, this does not mean he is not strict, and harsh when it comes to the laws. There are many in his brig that understand the danger of crossing him. Due to all this smuggling has dropped during his time as Admiral.
He has been key in developing various maritime preservation and conservation laws. He has also been pushing the council to make more deep sea research, convinced that there are many wonders under the waves that could improve Kinar's situation and position if explored. He also, rightly, claims that because nothing lives for miles around Kinar's coast it is the best place to begin exploring the depths of the sea.
