The Party Saves Santa... Again

The party rescues Santa from the small clutches of Dramp.

Back in Shah-Halla, the party is given a couple days of R&R for the holidays before what Okitt expects will be a very long year.    While walking the streets, the party's attention is drawn to a gathering in the marketplace. It turns out to be a political rally for Dramp, who is running to unseat Harren'oak as the human representative on the Council. Various [Humans Against Orcs members are in attendance, posing as security.    As Dramp delivers a rather inflammatory and racist speech, the crowd gets riled up. McLaren feels right at home, but the rest of the party got a sense of danger, being non-humans. As they searched for a way out, they spot one of Santa's elves trying to catch their attention from an alleyway. Following the elf, he brings them to a hidden meeting with Lord Woofs and Lord Larment.    "Larment here needs to be the next representative. I have my agents, I know what is coming. If we allow Dramp to be elected, he will tear this city apart. I'm not sure if you caught on, but he is in league with those HAO terrorists. This city is barely 50% human; alienating the rest will ensure its fall. All lives matter, as long as they have gold to offer." Woofs lets that statement hang in the awkward air for a minute. "I need you to infiltrate his headquarters, and eliminate him. I can't offer much in the way of gold, but I can guarantee the city will be ready to stand with the Godsbane when the Alliance arrives."   Most of the party fights their way through the warehouse from the ground floor, through various Christmas puddings and snowmen, rescuing Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer on the way.    As the rest of the party was fighting pudding, Tallous decided to take a more forward approach, and leapt through the third floor window, where he found a bound Santa, a mountain of presents, and Dramp.    Dramp turned out to be a polymorphed Fir Dragon who was attempting to muscle in on Woofs' territory. After a brutal fight, Dramp was no more, Santa was free yet again, the party had a collection of new toys, and Thorazz had taken Rudolph as his new mount to replace Dawg.
