Regulators

The Regulators are the military branch of the Order of the Eight. These members are tasked with hunting down and apprehending or destroying any individuals or organizations that display abuse of arcane magic. This can include abuse of any lost relics, and as such, Regulators are often paired with Reclaimers on retrieval missions, to ensure safe and successful completion of those missions.
Most Regulators join the order with a background in combat of some sort, whether it be mercenaries, soldiers, paladins, or clerics. However, the Regulators welcomes fighters from all walks of life, and will gladly train new recruits in the basics of combat. Many Regulators become full paladins or clerics upon joining the order, dedicated their lives and skills to Corellon.

Unlike the other two branches, the Regulators have a strict dress code, and must adhere to it at all times. When not in the field or on a mission, Regulators must at least remain in what is referred to as "half-dress." This is usually a minimum of dress boots, slacks, and shirt, and at least one marker signifying rank. The only exception to this rule is within the confines of the sleeping quarters, where troops may dress in whatever fashion they like, so long as it is appropriate for the public.
In the field, Regulators are required to remain in a combat-ready state at all times. This usually means full armor (plate or scale) with a weapon on the belt, ready to be used at a moment's notice. A helmet, while required in combat or on the march, is not required during stops for rest or downtime in a camp environment.
