Sir Nigel Stoneturn is an extremely wealthy dwarven nobleman and naturalist/explorer from Brasswall. On one of his expeditions to a previously undiscovered jungle island, he found a severely damaged warforged that called itself "Beast." After bringing the warforged back to Brasswall to have it repaired, Nigel discovered a kindred spirit in the automaton, as both had an insatiable lust for learning. When Beast showed signs of having magic, Nigel sponsored Beast to go to Rootwood on the condition that one day they'd both go on adventures together.
