The Minstrel

The Minstrel is the Goddess of music, magic, trickery, love and joy. She represents all things whimsical and joyous. Mythology posits that the Minstrel is the youngest of the Divines and particularly enjoys walking amongst mortals in a guise she changes every morning. It is for this reason she is also believed to be the progenitor of Changelings, though she holds room in her heart for every species.

Worship

There is little in the way of organised worship for the Minstrel. While she is seen as the Patron Goddess of bards, musicians and performers of any kind, the simple act of creating a song, a piece of artwork or a poem is seen as worship enough by most devout worshippers of the Aldrian faith. They believe that those moments when you smile, when you experience joy and love and all the warmth the soul has to give, that is you giving praise to the Minstrel; for she shares in your joy and that is all that she desires. Beyond that, however, there are myriad festivals dedicated to the Minstrel, especially during her holy month of Rosebloom, and many would-be romantics have prayed to the Minstrel for her aid in wooing a partner. Most importantly, a traditional Aldrian wedding features imagery of the Minstrel engraved into the wedding bands, and it is custom to present the newly weds with art, songs, poems and the like to ensure a blessed union.
