Military actionThe forces of Bliss are drawn to Asylum by a tremendous demonic presence. Asylum becomes a battleground for a terrible war between Bliss and Torment, with its people caught in the middle. Ends with the Dragons being called upon to vanquish the invaders, and the subsequent loss of Tiamat, the Dragon Queen.
Age of Magic

Following the Chaos Years, magic becomes more convenient and powerful. Ends with the Mage Wars and the Great Severing.

The Great Severing
Disaster / DestructionTo end the Mage Wars, a currently unkown party enacts the Great Severing. 60% of the worlds population is severed, cutting off their acess to the Weave and their magic. With most armies stripped of their power, the Mage Wars grind to a halt, and the world begins a decline. Some people are scarred so badly by the Severing that even their children and their grandchildren find themselves born severed.

After the discovery of a vast trove of Eldertech, efforts began to reverse engineer the science of the Elders. Eventually, there was a breakthrough, and magitech began to rapidly spread across Asylum.

Criminal ActivityThe events of Echoes of Asylum, Chapter 1: The Red Sun. In the city of Okiron, a gang war between The Red Sun and The Poet's Cabal leads to the death of both Kane Blackblood and The Poet. Emerging from the ashes Osiris Moneim takes power as the new ruler of Okiron's criminal underbelly, with the ever-loyal Oslon of the Mountains at his side. Meanwhile, Arashi travels east to begin his conquest of central Kethend. Dennis forms a new crime fighting force with his siblings, and Halbed leaves the city in search of something dear to him.
