Factions and Guilds

  • Guild of Fair Play: founded to keep games and passtimes fare and free of politics and religious interferiance, this guild is incharge of collecting and distrubiting losses and winnings for bets taken on popular sporting events, while also ensuring that referees know the rules of the games they are judging.
  • Historical Preservation Society: the H.P.S. was founded to catologue and document historic sites and artifacts found by adventures, thrill seekers, and treasure hunters.
  • Guild of Watchmen: is a guild that started in Carcino, formed of men and women who wish to keep their streets and homes safe when the official guards of a city cannot.
  • Order of the Silver Dragon: a group of knights who followed their lord the silver dragon Argynvost into battle against the great vampire Strahd von Zoravich. This guild is no longer active, as all its members have died long ago.
  • Order of the Spelljammer: is a group that could more closely be called a religoius cult worshiping the great bat winged entity refered to as the Spelljammer.
  • Passione: while being more closely run to a secret government organization this reclusive faction has decided that it is their duty to protect the modern from the premodern. They do this by following their three major ideas: Secure, Contain, and Protect.
  • Tenebrous Scribes: is a goverment organization based out of Carcino, whose goal is to keep artifacts of Evil out of public hands and view to ensure the safetey of large population centers.
  • Adventures Guilds

    In some cities those who hunted monsters and delved deep into dangerous dungoens banded together to form the first adventures guilds. These guilds functioned as employment agencies for its members, and usually offered additional services such as search parties for missing members and adventuring groups.   During the post classical era the concept of the adventures guild would become standardized within the first Dalelands. Various guilds at this time claimed the status of being an adventures guild; some of which have become the largest and most well known guilds.   Notable adventures guilds:
  • Guild of Ambitions: a guild for those who seek fame, fortune, and glory. Death during a mission is one of the fastest way to popularilze yourself as a legend.
  • Forsakenfists: a guild of martial artist.
  • Guild of Hunters: the largets guild whose contracts primarley involve contract killings of certain monsters, either to ensure regional saftey, or in rarer circumstances, for their rare body parts to be used by an arcane practicioner in some study or another.
  • Agony of Undead: getting their contracts from the larger Guild of Hunters, this guild is dedicated to seeking out and destroying any and all undead, including those who would practice the arts of necromancy.
  • Ruins Seeker Guild: this guild more closely organized to its parent guild than any other adventures guild. Getting their contracts mostly form the Historical Preservation Society, this guild is focused on finding and scouting dangerous ruins so that historical scholars can study the site and artifacts for historical relevance.
  • Steel Rats: part of the Ruins Seeker Guild this subguild is taksed with clearing out ruins and dungeons so that the historical scholars can catogarize and log everything for further study in safety.
  • Galactic Factions

  • Galactic Citizens Alliance: a collection of systems and worlds who wish to live in peace, free from both Gith and Illithid influences.
