Abraxis
Abraxis is a young blue dragon, only about 200 years old. The Blue Dragons of the Monterran desert have a hatred of the Drow, who hunted their ancestors to the brink of extinction thousands of years ago, but have maintained a more or less peaceful alliance with the nomads and small oasis villages in the desert in exchange for regular tribute. The tombs of the long-gone Drow and fallen Eladrin have provided ample riches for their hoards, and the locals ensure that the family of wyrms is well fed in exchange for protection.
The Blue Dragons distrust the Hadrianic empire, and purposely keep away from the main port to stay off their radar.
Abraxis has a reputation for being hot-headed, greedy, and impulsive. He seeks to prove that he is superior to his fellow hatchlings, and has struck out on his own from the safety of the deep deserts to build his own hoard. When he hears that the Wanda, the Wyrmstealer, has been spotted near some old ruins, he figures destroying her will be a demonstration of his superior might and possibly earn the favor of the ancient draconic gods.
After having several ships laden with booze stolen by Abraxis, the citizens of Monterra demanded that the Scions do something about the blue dragon's continued menace. The party was able to locate his lair, and it turns out that Abraxis is actually a spoiled young dragon, has a drinking problem, and has surrounded himself with kobolds that that encourage his bad behavior. He mentions that his father, an ancient blue dragon, lives somewhere deep in the jungles of the interior continent. He also mentions that Trogdor and his minions have been harassing him and attempting to get him to join forces against the Scions. He refused.
Abraxis has agreed to an alliance with Monterra, in exchange for a regular tribute of booze and the agreement that his friends' band, the Thunder Kobolds, can have regular gigs in Monterra. Due to the dragon's insatiable thirst, the price for alcohol in Monterra has doubled.
While the Scions were in Nikea Trogdor attempted to recruit Abraxis to his cause. When Abraxis refused, Trogdor sent his army to march on Abraxis's lair, and sent a kill squad headed by Syllin to destroy Abraxis. The Scions and Abraxis managed to defeat Syllin and her kill squad, but Abraxis was no match when Trogdor himself personally intervened and incinerated the young blue dragon in a plume hellfire.
Trogdor ate Abraxis's heart, and seemed to grow stronger. Although later defeated by Abraxis's father, Arcadius Trogdor is sill a menace to all of Ataaris.
