14th Arch Magus of the Imperial Arcanium Ivellios Flamewalker

Ivellios Flamewalker became 14th Arch Magus of the Imperial Arcanium upon the death of the previous Arch Magus, Lia Celeste. Now simply referred to as the "Arch Magus," he ran the Arcanium for over 30 years.
Ivellios worked tirelessly to expand the influence of the Arcanium, cultivating favor with the Emperor, often at the expense of the Church of Krom. He sent adventurers to explore ruins, ancient battlefields, and other mysteries across the empire to amass a horde of powerful magical artifacts. Although recovered artifacts are legally owned by the Imperial family, the Arch Magus controlled access to them, effectively giving the Arcanium control of these artifacts.
The Archbishop of Krom, jealous of the power amassed by the Arcanium, convinced the emperor that the Arch Magus is secretly a heretic and is plotting to use his collection of artifacts to install himself on the throne. The emperor gave the Archbishop permission to investigate the Arcanium and bring any heretics to trial. This results in Rayuuv Frossed and his companions being brought to trial for heresy, and the Arcanium being burned to the ground in the ensuing riots.
The Arch Magus, tipped off by Chandrilla Dawnstar of the Arch Bishop's schemes, escapes from Hadrianus and flees to Nikea with as many artifacts as he can carry.
Once in Nikea Chandrilla discovered the Arch Magus's scheme to make himself immortal, which made him a liability. The Arch Magus found himself hunted both by Chandrilla and Grand Inquistor Dralin Invictus.
The Scions of Hersey are convinced to aid Chandrilla and Dralin in their search for the Arch Magus. Their investigations reveal that the Arch Magus was working with a secret society, The Order of Flame and Sigil, to open a portal into Iowen's vault to retrieve the phylactery Chandrilla had stolen from him. In return, the Arch Magus used his powers to help the Order of the Flame and Sigil fight Krom's paladins and terrorize the Laconins.
The Arch Magus revealed a terrible secret to his former pupil, Rayuuv Frossed. All Arch Magi are cursed as a result of a corrupt bargain between the Eladrin and their human conquerors. All Arch Magi are driven mad by the tormented voices of fallen Eladrin, but he thinks he has a cure. It will involve powerful, timeline altering magics, the type of which are only permissible in Seras. The Arch Magus almost convinces Rayuuv to join him, but the rest of the Scions talk Rayuuv out of it.
Chandrilla revealed the truth to the Scions - the Arch Magus was attempting to cheat the curse by turning himself into a lich. It would make him extremely powerful, and if he successfully fled to Seras, would also make him a very dangerous threat for everyone in Ataaris.
In Iowen's vault the Arch Magus was confronted by Dralin and Chandrilla. He kills Dralin while attempting to stop Chandrilla from destroying his phylactery. The Scions intervene at the last minute, and manage to use Iowen's staff to destroy his phylactery. With the phylactery gone, the Arch Magus is defeated.
After he dies, his voice taunts Rayuuv one final time. Rayuuv is now the Arch Magus, and will start to hear the voices. There's nothing Rayuuv can do to escape his fate.
