She is a contact and business partner of John Foote, and it is implied that the two shared some form of romantic involvement in the past.
Saestril served as the party's main criminal contact during their time in Alcaster ahead of their heist on the Great Arcaneum. She gave them information on Percival Fould and Ronaldo Belloc, and was able to make a copy of Viniza Valenti's key to the upper level of the Arcaneum.
