Viniza Valenti

Viniza Valenti is a knight of Hildonia who serves as a general in the Hildonian military and the captain of the Crownsguard in Alcaster. She is also the older sister of Carmilla Valenti.
Viniza joined the military at the age of sixteen and was initially assigned to work as a guard in South Isle Prison. While there she fell in love with an imprisoned pirate John Foote, and they continued a secret affair even after his escape from the prison. Some years later, Prince Distran Hellbourne was kidnapped and held for ransom by Foote's captain Tomcat Jack. Viniza, now in the marines, was secretly informed of this by Foote and together the two exacted a plan to rescue the kidnapped prince. In gratitude Viniza was knighted and placed on Distran's personal Crownsguard detachment, where the two became close friends.
Viniza and Foote maintained an on-again off-again secret relationship for the next eight years as both ascended through the ranks of their respective operations. During the Hildonian intervention in the Galdemar Rebellion in 1851 Viniza, now a general, was placed in command of the fleet sent to secure the city of Rubendale in the Alvoro Bay Invasion. The plan hinged upon support from the Corsairs of Kassoth under the Old Oath, but then-overcaptain Ramsey Claiborne ignored the call. Angry at the betrayal John Foote assembled was small flotilla he could and sailed to the assistance of Valenti, but arrived too late and with too few ships to turn the tide of battle, and so turned and sailed away. Viniza, witnessing this from the deck of her sinking ship, never forgave Foote for what appeared to her eyes as a betrayal. After the battle, Hildonia withdrew from the war. Valenti's reputation was damaged by the defeat, although her career was relatively unaffected. Soon after she became the captain of the entire Crownsguard, a position she currently holds.
Four years after her defeat at Alvoro Bay Viniza was told by Lethe Argie that John Foote was in the capital, in an attempt to distract her from an upcoming heist at the Great Arcaneum. She attempted to arrest him but found his ship had already been moved. Later that night Lethe robbed her house of a key to the upper level of the Arcaneum, had a copy made by Saestril Boecelin, and was able to return the key before she noticed.
The next day, she fought alongside Precision Merchantel against the crystalline creatures that attempted to assassinate Queen Harriet. She attempted to question Precision after the battle but was interrupted by John Foote's attack on the South Isle Prison.
