Giant Mushroom Groves
These forests of large, pale mushrooms loom several times taller than the Gennuven. Ephemeral creatures such as the stiltekka drift between their massive stalks.
Geography
The land the giant mushroom groves occupy is flat and loamy, with little variation in altitude. The occasional hill or hollow is all that marks the landscape.
Ecosystem
The mushrooms act almost like trees, growing several feet apart with clusters of smaller fungi at their bases. The air here is humid.
Ecosystem Cycles
Since there are no seasons in the Higher Realm, the mushrooms aren't subject to changes in temperature or weather that would alter their growth.
Localized Phenomena
Sometimes the air grows so damp among the mushrooms that mists begin to form.
Climate
Like the rest of the Higher Realm, the air temperature is slightly cooler than Gennuven body temperature. These groves tend to be damp at all times.
Fauna & Flora
The stiltekka and many other strange beasts wander the mushroom forests. The mushrooms themselves are usually white with large caps, but they can be brown. They may also glow green, white, or blue.
