Working Dog
Whether their main purpose is hauling carts or protecting homes, working dogs are generally beloved by the Suktu, for whom the creatures are often an important part of daily life.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Working dogs can vary in feature proportion or fur length, texture, and color, but their basic anatomy (a sturdy snout, two front-facing eyes, four legs, and a tail) always stays the same. Dogs of this variety tend to have stocky builds and powerful muscular structures.
Ecology and Habitats
Dietary Needs and Habits
Like their feral relatives, working dogs are carnivorous, though they no longer need to hunt by themselves for survival.
Behaviour
Being pack animals, dogs tend to thrive when regularly given the chance to work and interact with other creatures, especially the Suktu (with whom they've formed a special bond.) Unfortunately, if they aren't tamed when they're young, they have a tendency to become feral. When this happens, they become frightened of intelligent races and unwilling to listen to their commands. When groups of feral dogs come together and form a pack, they can be dangerous toward smaller races.
Additional Information
Domestication
The Suktu breed working dogs with the simultaneous goals of creating stronger working animals and shaping the friendliest personalities.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Working dogs are usually used by the Suktu as guards for their homes and farms, accompaniment during hunts, and cart-pullers, though they also make great companions.

These dogs have blocky snouts and broad heads with large eyes.
Average Intelligence
They can be as clever as a young child of an intelligent race, with the capacity to learn a surprising number of words and complex commands.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Their vision is decent, their hearing is great, and their senses of smell are fantastic. They aren't hindered by low-light conditions.
