Omund X of Lothairia
Emperor Omund X was a Lotharian, a direct descendent of Lothair I. Under Omund's rule the Empire of Lothairia prospered and was at the peak of its power.
The Empire was full of ambitious Barons, Counts, Dukes and Despots but none of them dared oppose Omund. He was extremely kind and diplomatic in most situations, he even received audiences from the commonfolk which earned him the nickname "Good Emperor Omund". Despite his kindness, his political rivals feared and respected him as he was able to command a room like no other. If there were compromises to be made Omund made sure that each party got exactly what it deserved. Omund saw the growing power of the Castrian and Lavenian Despots and attempted to reign them in by arranging marriages for his son Emund to the Castrian Despot's daughter Mera and Lothair to the Lavenian Despot's daughter Alia. The future of the Empire was secure.
Unfortunately, soon enough Omunds age caught up to him and he spent the final 7 years of his rule bedridden. His son Prince Emund of Lothairia acted as his regent until his untimely death. The political marriage to the Castrian Despot's daughter fell through. And after a year Good Emperor Omund X passed away as well, peacefully in his bed.
His younger son Lothair XV took the throne and will lead the people of the Empire to their future.
