Lucca Cays
Overview
The Lucca Cays are inhabited by the friendly Taino and like other areas they inhabit are a blend of both Western Kingdoms cultures and Taino.
The region is nominally claimed by Thuringia as it was ceded to the former Duke of Nassau in what is now Thuringia as a dowry. The finances of Thuringia do not allow them to occupy the region in direct force or even with a formal governor, instead they utilize their intelligence network in the region led by Johan Argentus der Große and a small unit of The Schwartzenjager to avert disasters that would look bad for Thuringia.

Lucca Bucht
Translated into common as Lucca Bay, this is a largely Taino settlement that with strong Western Kingdoms influence. Here villages from all over the archipelago bring their goods to sell in exchange for tools. Small single mast ships and very large canoes are the primary transport. They are largely left alone by pirates of the region.Neues Nassau
Known simply as Nassau this is a famed pirate port. Many pirate crews call this port home, and its proximity to major trade lanes, as well as its lack of legal enforcement make it the perfect place for pirates to thrive. That storm wrecked the ship and I washed ashore on one of the islands. When the Taino found me I was terrified they were one of the Carib tribes and I would be served with some beans. No, they took me in bound my wounds, fed me, nursed me back to health and then in time they took me to Lucca Bucht. I loved the place so much I plan on going back as much as I can. ~anonymous Saxon sailor
