Traylam Village

This small village sprang up around Traylam Academy to house the families of the school's staff. Some others have also made their home here including retired Arbiters and some devoted Zealots who tend the grounds and do various tasks for The Arbiters.   Location: Traylam Village is located on the outskirts of a large province, nestled at the base of a range of rugged mountains. The village is surrounded by rolling hills and fertile farmland.   Population: Traylam Village is a small community, home to around 300 people. The village is predominantly made up of farmers and tradespeople, with retired Arbiters and some devoted Zealots who tend the grounds and do various tasks for The Arbiters.   Economy: The villagers of Traylam Village rely primarily on agriculture and trade to sustain themselves. They grow crops such as wheat, barley, and vegetables, which they sell at the local markets. The village also has a small but thriving artisan community, with skilled craftsmen producing pottery, textiles, and other goods. The military academy brings in some additional income to the village, as students and Arbiters alike have needs.   Traylam Academy: Traylam Academy is the centerpiece of the village. The academy is housed in a large castle that overlooks the village, and it is led by a stern and disciplined commander named Braccus. The academy has a reputation for producing some of the most storied individuals the Empire has ever known, and it is a sought-after destination for young men and women seeking to serve their empire and its people.   Other notable locations in the village include:   The Market Square: The hub of the village, where farmers and artisans come to sell their wares. The Blacksmith's Forge: "Traylam's Hammer" A bustling workshop where the village's blacksmiths work to produce weapons and tools for the academy and the surrounding community. The Tavern: "The Soldier's Rest" A cozy, dimly-lit tavern that serves hearty meals and strong ale. It's a popular spot for soldiers, Arbiters and students to unwind after a long day of training.

  • Old Traylam Windmill
"That old windmill has been abandoned for almost 20 years. It's owned by a man named Cedrick Gallerson, but when it broke down all those years ago he went to Ophiria looking for a qualified person to fix it and never came back. It's possible that he's dead, but without proof the law says we can't just sieze the property until 20 years to the day that he's been missing." -Braccus, Senior Arbiter and Headmaster of Traylam Academy.
