Brass Spider
Axel Webb's pocket watch can transform into a brass clockwork spider. Roughly the size of a hand when in spider mode, its legs are all picks, chisels, pliers and other fine tools of manipulation.
Properties
The spider acts as masterwork thieves tools that help Axel to pick locks and similar small finicky mechanical tasks. Once per day the spider can be let loose to allow Axel to pick locks from a distance. In most cases, this means any mishap caused by the skill affects the brass spider (which has hardness 5 and 25 hit points) rather than Axel himself. In addition, the spider grants Axel a +2 bonus when he uses his occult hypnotism skill.
