The entrance to Stoneholm is marked by a sturdy gate of wrought iron, flanked by torches that cast flickering shadows across the cavern walls. Though not as imposing as that of the capital, the gate is well-maintained and watched over by a small contingent of dverga guards, their eyes sharp and ever-vigilant for signs of trouble.
Beyond the gate lies the heart of Stoneholm—a bustling town carved from the solid rock of the cavern walls. Buildings of rough-hewn stone line the streets, their facades adorned with simple carvings and functional decorations. Smoke rises from chimneys and forges, mingling with the earthy scent of damp stone and the tang of metal.
The streets of Stoneholm are alive with activity, dverga artisans work their trades and merchants advertise their wares from makeshift stalls. Miners return from the depths of the earth, their carts laden with precious ores and gemstones, while children play games of tag and hide-and-seek amidst the labyrinthine alleyways.
At the center of Stoneholm stands the citadel proper—a stout fortress of solid stone that serves as both the seat of dverga governance and the dwelling place of their ruling clan. Though lacking the opulent grandeur of the capital, the citadel of Stoneholm is a functional and well-defended structure, its walls reinforced with iron bars and fitted with sturdy wooden doors.

It has a large dock that is set up to receive barges filled with ores, wood or other materials that come from up or down stream.
